FAQ

How does this work?

Sponsoring a story is easy!  For a $15 donation, you can choose a title from our list of books and dedicate it to a loved one.  Donations support the Youth Services Department.

What if I want a title that isn’t listed?

We appreciate your suggestions, but ask that you please choose a book from our list.  The list makes sure that the books are a good fit for the collection, helps us avoid duplicate copies, and are in line with our collection development policy.  We listen to our young patrons and make sure to choose some of the most in-demand titles that are coming out each month.

How often will you update the list?

We’ll add new titles to the list every month, so stay tuned!

How will my loved one be recognized?

Each story will include a book plate on the inside cover with a dedication to your loved one.

How long will my sticker be in the book?

The sticker will stay in the book for the lifetime of that book on our shelves, per our collection development policy.

Are there limits to what I can say on my sticker?

When providing your Story Sponsor information, you can choose from different dedication formats and include the name of who you want the book dedicated to. We’ll review the text to make sure it conforms to the donor and patron conduct policies.  

Will you notify the recipient of my gift?

Yes, if you provide the name and email address for the recipient, we would be happy to send an email notification.
