Opening for Browsing by Appointment on Wed., July 1

The Jesup Memorial Library is opening for browsing by appointment in addition to the rotunda item pickup. Browsing appointments can be made by calling 207-288-4245 or emailing info@jesuplibrary.org. Rotunda pickup will continue for anyone who would rather pick up items that way. Items for pickup can be requested by calling 207-288-4245, by emailing info@jesuplibrary.org, by filling out the form at jesuplibrary.org/itemrequest or by requesting through the Jesup’s online catalog at minerva.maine.edu.

Masks or face coverings must be worn at all times at the library. There will be a limited number of people allowed in the building at one time to promote physical distancing and there will be directional signs to facilitate the flow of people. The library also requests that you keep your visits short.

The children’s room will be open by appointment as well. If you would like to visit the children’s room please specify that when you make your appointment for browsing. Appointments will be for 15 minutes and are for up to four people or one family. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult for adequate supervision and everyone over two years old must wear a mask in the building, per CDC guidelines. There will be no games, toys, puzzles or beanbags available for use in the children’s room. We also ask that all strollers either be left outside or brought into the children’s room. There is no room for them to be placed in the rotunda.

We ask that items be returned when the library is open in the drop box outside the front door or when you come in to pick up new items. All items will be quarantined for 96 hours before they are checked in.

For more information, contact the library at 207-288-4245.
