Live concert with Acadia Artists-in-Residence "Heartwood"

Join Heartwood (Sarina Partridge, Heidi Wilson, Willy Clemetson) for an intimate, participatory afternoon of music! Heartwood’s music grows out of time spent with generous trees, old stones, and vast waters. With their simple lyrics and rich vocal harmonies, these singers and instrumentalists weave together music that is inspired by, and sung for, the wild surrounding and within us all. Heartwood will be in the area for an artist residency at Acadia, come catch them in concert while they're in town!

Heidi Wilson, Sarina Partridge, and Willy Clemetson first came together as a trio in 2021 during a musical intensive on Rabbit Island in Lake Superior where they lived away from other humans and electricity for 2.5 weeks, collaborating with that wild place and creating music to help tell its stories. Following the thread of composing music in, with, and for wild places, Heartwood has been welcomed for composing residencies with the Slough Farm Foundation in Martha’s Vineyard, MA; Bearnstow Arts in Mt. Vernon, ME; and Acadia National Park through the National Parks Artists-in-Residence Program. The trio is currently working on creating an original participatory singing-storytelling musical accompanied by a “crankie” (an illuminated, illustrated scroll, hand-cranked between two spools), and is in the process of recording their first studio album together.
