Garth Williams (1912-1996), children’s book illustrator and 2007 Lifetime Achievement honoree of the Society of Illustrators, left behind an abundance of preliminary sketches, drafts, and final drawings from nearly 100 books. This exhibition showcases a breadth of work from his career, including drawings from E.B. White’s Charlotte’s Web and Stuart Little, as well as Little House on the Prairie, The Cricket in Times Square, and sketches from several Golden Book titles.

Jesup Memorial Library thanks Stephen Mooser, author of more than 60 children’s books and devoted friend, for lending us his collection for this show.
