You Teach the Machines: From Virtual Hearts to Smarter Harbors

  • Jesup Memorial Library 34 Mt. Desert Street Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 (map)

How do we talk to our kids, our parents, and our neighbors about the rise of AI? Using clear, non-technical language, Author and AI expert Jeff Pennington explores how artificial intelligence is already at work on MDI—from the "virtual hearts" being modeled at Jackson Lab to new AI tools helping Maine fishermen navigate safer waters. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how to harness AI as a helpful partner for rural healthcare and local research, rather than a confusing mystery.

This event will take place in the Periodicals Room and will be available in-person only. Registration is encouraged.
