Do you love amphibians? Come learn about the amphibians that call Acadia National Park home and the work that's being done to help protect them!

On Thursday, September 17th at 5:30pm, join Sheridan Todd at the Jesup Memorial Library for an evening all about frogs, salamanders, and the research being conducted to understand amphibian migration across roadways! Learn how to identify amphibians in Acadia National Park and about how volunteers are contributing to amphibian conservation efforts through the Acadia Amphibian Project.

Sheridan Todd is a Biological Science and Volunteer Engagement Technician with Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park in collaboration with University of Maine. The Acadia Amphibian Project supports research by PhD student Marisa Monroe and Dr. Noah Charney at the University of Maine. This research uses dedicated volunteers to monitor 300m transects around Mount Desert Island and on the Schoodic Peninsula, for the presence of amphibians on roads.
